Not that anyone is paying attention, but And a Ladyboy Makes Four is late and going to be later still before it goes live.
I had some freelance work fall into my lap in a completely unexpected way, and, well … I gotta pay the bills, as it were, so I accepted the assignment. I was right in the middle of And a Ladyboy Makes Four and just hitting stride, too. They are fun to write, thes little fantasy stories, even if no one buys them.
So look for it at the earliest by the end of the month, but more likely sometime in October.
I finally got And Lucy Makes Three up late yesterday afternoon/early last night on Smashwords and Amazon.
I finally got And Lucy Makes Three up late yesterday afternoon/early last night on Smashwords and Amazon. Here’s the cover in all its glory:
Still not perfect, but more or less what I envisioned from the start. And for some reason, it was a lot less than that my previous cover, in terms of physical memory, although the steps involved were about the same. Must be that spotlight/keyhole effect.
Furthermore, now that I’ve got two ebooks under my belt, so to speak, I feel like I’m settling into a pattern; look for the next title, And a Ladyboy Makes Four, in two weeks, on Sept. 15 or so.
It’s been a slow start — I’ve sold a few on Amazon and Barnes and Noble so far, so it is a start, however small — but then everyone has to start somewhere.
At 10,000 words And Lucy Makes Three is considerably longer than I had planned originally — almost twice as long as the first installment. So it’s taken me a little longer than first expected to get everything together, but it should be live on Smashwords and Amazon by Friday afternoon/evening — this weekend at the latest.
Of course distribution to Smashwords premium catalog — Apple iBooks, Barnes and Noble. etc. — will take longer; the first ebook a week between acceptance and review for wider distribution.
Just a quick note to let you know that I’m almost done with the next installment of the Futanari Tales, And Lucy Makes Three. Still have some writing to do, but the end is in site: should be up on Amazon and Smashwords early next week. That is, of course, if all goes well my finishing it and my editor editing it, but there is no reason to think that it won’t.
Smashwords Premium Catalog
I also heard a couple of days ago that Smashwords accepted my fist work, Riko Meets Johnny, into their premium catalog. That means not only is it accepted for Smashwords’ store, but for distribution beyond it, such as Apple iBooks, Sony and Kobo. Huzzah!
Not a huge deal, but not bad considering it’s only been out for a week.
By the way, I’ve been working on the cover for And Lucy Makes Three; there is a work-in-progress behind the cut below. Of course Riko will have a bit more in the way of clothes, and Johnny hasn’t even been added yet …
Well, not really. But at least I have a decent portrait of “me” for the “about Fayme Lacasse” page.
Just wanted to poke my head in and say hi; I should of been hard at work today but I spent most of it tooling around with my 3D rendering software. But I still managed to get around 700 words done. Not too bad for a Saturday, huh?
Well, things are starting to happen for good or ill. My erotic tale, The Futanari Tales No. 1: Riko Meets Johnny, went live today on Smashwords and Amazon. Exciting, to say the least, although there is still much to do, not the least of which is starting on tale number two. I’ve already got a working title: And Lucy Makes Three.
Here is the cover, by the way, which went through some last minute alterations.
There is only one file type avaialable for Smashwords for the moment and that’s epub, which should be good for most devices; if you need mobi you’ll have head over to Amazon. I plan of having more file types available later, though.
So what the hell: here is a little free sample behind the cut. And let’s be clear, just in case someone hasn’t gotten the hint yet: this is erotica; if that offends you, please leave while your virgin eyes are just that. Continue reading “Riko Meets Johnny: It’s Here!”
So I’m almost ready for the first installment; just waiting to hear back from the editor later today. In the meantime, I figured I’d post a few cover options I’ve played around with. First up is Riko in her first incarnation:
For those of you that keep track of such things, I dusted off and updated my 3D rendering software — and my hobbyist’s interest in it — since it is much cheaper than hiring models and doing a photo shoot. I used an Aiko model based on Victoria 4 Elite for this first rendering. But I decided on a more traditional cover, hence:
Unlike the first rendering, these are characters based on Genesis 3 models, namely Mei Lin and Micheal, with high-resolution skins. Johnny looks a little too … orange, I guess, in some of these. Hmmmm. Both images were also finished in Photoshop.
You can find higher res versions of both, including the originals, up on my DeviantArt page.
Oh, and here is a rendering of Mei Lin with green hair, substituting for an actual photo of me. No, I don’t really look like her, but I did have green hair once upon a time.
P.S.: Sorry if the risqué art offends, but then you probably wouldn’t be here if it did. 😉
P.P.S. I must say that the latest version of Daz Studio with Nvidia Iray rendering is pretty nifty if you have a relatively recent Nvidia graphics card.
